PATH DATA
M L H V C S Q T A Z, absolute and relative. Curves are parsed, drawn and measured for length. Angles and parallel distances use straight segments only, so flatten first if you need those.
RENDER
Fill rule matters. A shape whose subpaths are meant to be holes reads as a solid blob under the wrong one.
CLEAN

snap angles tooff
flatten tolerance0.5
The sliders above are settings. Nothing moves until you press one of these.
Angle snap rotates every straight segment to the nearest multiple and re-solves each vertex as the intersection of its two snapped edges, so subpaths stay closed.

RESULT
Send to Path replaces your shape with the figure, so you can measure or edit it. Use as guide draws it behind your shape instead: it is never measured, never edited, never exported.

GEOMETRY
ANGLES
SEGMENT LENGTHS
PARALLEL DISTANCES
Perpendicular distance between every pair of parallel straight segments, smallest first. The smallest recurring value is usually the line weight. Larger ones are gaps and spans.
SYMMETRY
RATIOS
Matched against phi, roots and small fractions. Anything worse than 1% is reported as no match. A looser threshold would find a flattering match for almost any number.
